Betty Ashburner Creeping Bramble

(Rubus tricolor `Betty Ashburner`)
This plant is currently unavailable.

The basic species, an evergreen climber, is native to the forests and shrubby areas of China`s Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. Its leaves are very beautiful glistening bright-green, the stems are reddish hairy. Brick-red blackberries will grow from the white flowers, which are edible, taste good and are usually a bit bigger than half an inch in size. It is an excellent fruit either fresh or on the shelf! The plant is fully hardened and winter-hardy, of vigorous growth, prefers semi-shady habitat with good water and nutrient supply. In an environment like this, it is able to grow very impressively and covers very fast unsightly empty surfaces by its flashy, specially beautiful foliage! This plant is excellent to fix soil on slopes as well as a spectacular hanging one on balconies or can be raised as a container plant!
Definitely worth planting, it is a multi-advantageous plant!
