Veitchii Boston Ivy

(Parthenocissus tricuspidata `Veitchii`)
5 950 Ft

This fully hardy climber can fix itself up on the walls by suction cups very well and is able to cover large surfaces! The popularity is primarily due to its wonderful autumn foliage colour: the summer green is resplendent in the hue of orange-red, claret and burgundy-red for a very long time! It is a misconception that it destroys the walls, moreover (!), the opposite is true, as well as brilliantly protects against the vicissitudes of weather! In the sweltering summer heat wave a surface of wall thickly covered by Boston Ivy will not be able to warm up so much as a bare one, so anybody inside will suffer less from the heat! The leaves of the young plants initially consists of three separate small leaves. They will take on the leaf form shown in the pictures only 1-3 years later, but new shoots with a different leaf form can appear later as well (see in one picture)!
